Hi All,

First time poster, after years of following right back to the 'Macca' days.

It seems Bayern Space now ITKBayern is saying Barcola is progressing with LFC.

He has muted €100 million fixed (£86.5m) plus €20 million (£17.3m) would get the deal done with PSG.

Not saying it will, but ITKBayern has been very accurate in the past.

In response to a fair and just comment from @redronson - I hold my hands high and said I was certain that Diomande would sign for us.

I will always say I'm wrong - if it turns out I'm wrong.

I also said, with certainty, that Barcola will not sign for us.

On both points, I have yet to be proven right or wrong.

I still hold firm in my beliefs, even with the introduction of RM into the mix; we will sign Diomande but will not sign Barcola.


I think we have come too far and put so much work into the transfer that we won't pull out now. I'll go one further and take a punt that we'll up our offer closer to what RBL want. If we don't, I'll happily take any criticism.

I think the ship truly has sailed with Diomande - no one credible besides this forum has linked us with him for weeks, particularly RB journos and PSG journos, whereas Barcola links are everywhere and constant. I know the mainstream media push stories often for clicks but such widespread activity or lack of activity in Diomande's case cannot be dismissed.

Diomande will go to Madrid or Paris, and Barcola is now our primary target. I respect the commitment to your belief John Barnes is God, and I believe at many points Diomande was close to us; however, his agency issues have probs killed that move.

I wasn't talking about you, mate. Don't worry, we can all make mistakes, but I'm not interested in seeking attention, just a fella who tries to give you infos. I don't earn anything from this. At the end of the day, the most important thing is focusing on what we love the most and that's LFC and try to do our best, all of us, to have infos on our market activity.

Let's just hope we sign what we need to reinforce the team, especially on the wings. Not a huge fan of Barcola, Akliouche or Diomande.

The first two I've seen play live for many years. Barcola didn't manage to get into the first team at PSG, and he isn't a 170M EUR player, his finishing needs improvement, but I guess that's the market today. Akliouche isn't a player for us, as I've previously explained in another post, so I pray we don't sign him. Diomande, just one season and already worth north of 100M EUR... I mean, how much would Gervinho or Jay-Jay Okocha be worth? Too much pressure on the fella, proven nothing yet.

you don't have to explain yourself, mate. It's a rumours and opinions forum, mate. Too many on here with 0 patience, and like you said, you are yet to be proved right or wrong, so no explanations needed.

The club is in the middle of trying to sell a large minority share, maybe once that's done we will act quicker, who knows.

We are just fans, we will find out when the info is known to the public and journos, and any inside knowledge is gratefully received.

Thanks, JB is God. It feels like Rbl are holding us to ransom, for the sake of £10-20m, given the priority the club has given him, I don't understand why we're stalling - personally I want Rayan, who would also incidentally be cheaper and, although a small sample size, is PL proven.

I think we have walked away from Diomande, it was too much money for a kid anyway. He wants PSG ao, unless they can strike a deal, he may then have to take another option whether it's Madrid or whoever. The only way we sign him now is if Rocnation come crawling back and RB accepted a lower bid which won't happen.

Barcola for me again is too much money but he is looking more likely, perhaps the sale of Barcola funds Diomande.

If it is true that Barcola has made it clear he wants us, then I want him because that's the attitude I want.

Rayan, again I think Bournemouth will want stupid money for a player that we've only seen 1 season of. This would need to be a sensible deal upfront with a heavier performance based add ons kinda deal.

I think Akliouche is a very very good player. However, I don't think he is really a winger. Diomande is far and away the best player of the three, but with all the issues getting the deal done, he appears to be more trouble than he is worth.

Barcola, though I am not a massive fan, has elite level pace, which is something we desperately need, and even if his finishing can be haphazard, he consistently gets into very dangerous positions to create or score every game I've seen him play.

I'm getting bored with the continual chatter about 'what the ITKs have or haven't said. It's not even a conversation about football anymore.

As a fan of Liverpool, I'm really happy when people provide rumours, opinions, information and / or knowledge. That's what the rumours page is all about and long may it continue.

But, the increasingly endless 'he said, she said' is nothing to do with rumours, it is people who can't distinguish chatter from immutable facts, just sad.

I'm sure it won't stop as people cite their favourite ITKs as the reason they access the forum but surely, when all's said and done, the lesson learned should be, take what's written with a pinch of salt and try, really try for God's sake to realise that the club will be the one with the definitive statement that players have been bought or sold.

Hi there again,

Follow up on the Barcola situation. It is now reported in French media that he declined to renew based only on play time. PSG offered him a more lucrative deal. Enrique was adamant to keep him at the club.



The player is convinced he can get first team game time at other clubs. We are not the only ones in it, keep an eye on Bayern where Luis Diaz could be on his way out as reported.

You mentioned that Barcola was going to sign a new contract, but now it's being reported that PSG have known for months that he wasn't planning to sign one.

Now it's to keep an eye on Bayern, while it is reported that Liverpool is his first choice and I doubt that he will fancy playing in the Bundesliga.

I never said he will definitely sign, just that PSG were confident given the lucrative deal they offered and the status of playing for a team like them. Why would you leave them really? Game time, I suppose, although he plays 30 something games per season, but it's understandable if he wants a bigger role at another team.



I told you to keep an eye on Bayern if Luis Diaz goes to Saudi Arabia. As was reported, there are ongoing negotiations with Al Hilal.

Quansah, Chalobah and Sancho will soon be the next players were linked with. The first 2, I’d be okay with being youngish English and we know they can be around a Premier League squad.

But if we end up signing Sancho on a free, I will be disappointed, even if he had some okay cameos for Villa last season, but someone will point out he’s still young English and can play either side as a utility player, I understand he’s not very ‘Iraola’ but you could probably say the same about Emery and maybe needs must?

I see the logic as a cheap back up, but he's not been good for a while now, and would be a hard sell to some, as he was an expensive flop at Man Utd. A versatile attacker on the cheap or on loan would be nice while Hugo recovers, but not Sancho.

Ferran Torres would be the ideal type of player, but too expensive, I'd say.

It is feasible that we could still secure approval through an ESC allocation or youth exception. A youth-player Exceptions Panel is probably more likely because Ndukwe is a youth player. If we take that route, we could argue that he has "significant potential" and is good enough to enhance the development of English football.

His Austrian youth caps and prominent role at the 2025 Under-17 World Cup would presumably form part of that evidence, although approval is not guaranteed. I'd suggest it'll depend on plans for the backline, even though Ndukwe did very well in the game against Sunderland.

Barcola update: "PSG are working on a renewal of his contract and are confident as Luis Enrique sees in him an important player in the squad.

Akliouche situation not linked to Barcola as I previously told you. PSG not interested in pursuing Diomande deal at this stage.

Balogun has interest from several PL clubs, not sure we are amongst them. Monaco expect around 60M€ for him, also interest from Spain and Italy."

I had the info this morning and published it at 10:25. People at the club were convinced that, given how lucrative the deal was, the player wouldn't be interested in moving to another club. Get Barcola and we're good for wingers in my opinion.

If Gakpo gets sold, then maybe get more of a striker who can potentially cover out wide (like Ekitike) rather than a specialist winger and we should be fine.



Rio, Munoz, Barcola, Isak, Gakpo or new CF + 2-3 players who can do a job out wide if absolutely necessary to manage minutes (Szobo, Elliott, Frimpong, Koumas, Morrison).

I think we'd be fine with that.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't think Barcola is the right fit for us. Out of possession, I don't think he presses enough or tracks back. I know Salah didn't do enough at times, but we really need wingers or wide forwards that will do some of the dirty work too.

I'm not that bothered about Diomande either. All his agent antics, etc., could see that causing trouble.
