Not bad that Barcola lad is he. 😉

{Ed025's Note - a good option from the bench i would class him as BK..

16 Jun 2026 23:21:13
It's laughable how many people dismiss him as not good enough on here. Laughable.

Like every player, he has his faults, but he is a very, very good player.

16 Jun 2026 23:26:43
Wirtz-Isak-Diomande front 3. I'm telling you all! 😅 (I'll change my mind next week).

In all seriousness, some finish from Barcola that was.

Agree6

17 Jun 2026 05:34:41
Barcola is currently a better player (more rounded) than Diomande.
Also better than Gordon (£70m). I agree that people on here have no clue on his qualities and are way too dismissive, I really hope he joins the Reds.

Question for ed25 sorry as I prob shouldn be posting it here but I know you frequently post here.i seen you mention yous need a new right back.can I ask you where you'd rate shamus Coleman in your all time buys/right backs.also do you think if Rafa listened to aldridges reccomendation to buy seamus, while he was playin in the league of ireland, he would of being good enough to have played for us for years

{Ed025's Note - at £60,000 he is one of the best buys in history Eric, yes i think he would have been a great success at Liverpool or any top team mate because like Robbo he wore his heart on his sleeve and gave it 100% in every game and was also a great defender..

16 Jun 2026 22:20:18
Coleman always reminded me of Steve Finnan, who was arguably our most balanced right back in Premier League history. The guy was always able to put out consistently good performances, dependable, and worked his socks off.

Agree11

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that Mango..

16 Jun 2026 22:24:22
What a player and a proper gentleman. 👏

Agree12

{Ed025's Note - well said Barry mate..

16 Jun 2026 22:32:11
Agree with everything Ed25 said. I always admired Coleman.

Agree5

16 Jun 2026 23:24:54
There was a time when I thought Coleman was the best RB in the league. Age and injuries curtailed his career, but what a servant to Everton he has been.

Agree4

16 Jun 2026 23:27:08
Coleman is a class act on and off the pitch.

Agree5

17 Jun 2026 01:16:11
I echo everyone's sentiments, great player, great servant and not out of place in one of, if not the, toughest league in the world.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 22:41:58
Coleman was Mustard Ed025!

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - nice one KK...he really was mate..

16 Jun 2026 19:24:13
Ed025 I see a post earlier about Everton and I totally disagree with.
I am no Moses fan but after the last few season you have had I think your jump was the biggest. Sunderland had the first season in the Premier League with them so that helped them.
I think you will finish in a European place next season after that Everton have a massive decision to make and it is just to get the right choice in manager to take your style and league position up but without moving away from how you play too fast otherwise 85% of the squad's don't fit then you go backwards.

Hope you have a great season Ed would love it if it was between Liverpool and Everton every year because even if we don't win the key and it stays in Liverpool that's better.
Am not bitter again the Blues love beating them hate losing against but in football terms still lover the mid 80s more than any football time in my life.
Kevin Sheedy is one of the greatest left foots I've ever seen.

{Ed025's Note - i am a bit of a pessimist Grino but we are a very hard watch mate, Moyes is so negative and if we are to progress we need better imo even though i agree that he did a good job of steadying the ship..

16 Jun 2026 22:12:38
The pessimism of bluenoses is the downfall of you's 25 in my opinion, it's obviously understandable with what yous have had to put up with over the years, like, but I've always thought there's a sleeping giant there waiting to be woken by the right person who can unify the club.

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - its hard to be optimistic when you watch us every week GBB, we had a chance to get into Europe and we blew it mate...not because we were not good enough but because of the manager putting square pegs in round holes and playing negative football..

16 Jun 2026 22:16:30
Moses said 'come forth', so he guarantees you a spot in the CL.

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - good stuff Willo..

16 Jun 2026 22:22:53
I'm reading thinking "what has Grino got against Victor Moses." 😆

Agree7

16 Jun 2026 22:26:50
West Ham supporters said the same about Moyes. Wonder what happened to them?

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - he can keep a team afloat KR no doubt about that mate, and if thats the extent of your aspirations then Moyes is your man..

16 Jun 2026 22:41:21
Always difficult making that step up though. Do you want to be competitive and stable, maybe go a cup comp every other year with limited resources? Then, yeah, the likes of Moyes, Pulis etc.

are good fits. Once you commit to higher aspirations though with someone else it can all go very wrong. Stoke are my second team and you could tell it was going to go wrong almost immediately.

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - but we have gone out of the cups very early because he puts out weakened teams Westwood, Moyes is very one Dimensional and while he will keep us safe thats his limit mate..

17 Jun 2026 01:19:44
Moyes is like Fat Sam or Dyche or Rednapp or Warnock etc, who are / were great in a survival battle but didn't have the next step - to challenge for titles - in them.

Everton's next step is to replace Moyes imho.

Agree3

16 Jun 2026 21:29:44
Alan.Shearer is a complete Wagon of a commentator, such a horrible listen, I ended up turning off the sound.

16 Jun 2026 21:36:06
Proper 🔔 end.

Agree8

16 Jun 2026 21:47:46
Great movement and finish from Barcola, not as bad as some say?

Agree6

16 Jun 2026 21:48:52
Better than Lee Dixon.

Agree7

16 Jun 2026 21:53:23
Nice goal from Barcola though - good movement.

Agree3

16 Jun 2026 21:45:06
Lee Dixon is the worst. A miserable, bitter loser that man is.

Agree5

16 Jun 2026 22:17:39
Best game of the WC, so far. If Senegal had scored one of their chances in the first half, it would have been a nail biter of an ending.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 22:23:33
Also better than Giroud... whoever thought that having him as a pundit was a good idea, needs sacking, he has no personality or ability to talk sense!!

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 22:25:20
Good watch in the second half. Senegal were very aggressive and defended well, but just lacked a bit of quality going forward. France exploited the spaces when things opened up a bit after the break, and looked the part.

Agree1

17 Jun 2026 08:41:31
Shearer, Murphy, Dixon are all boring and annoying, and I'm sick of Micha (thinks he's better than he was) Richards popping up everywhere.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 20:48:44
Don’t watch too much French football, so was looking forward to seeing Lamine Camara with him being a name linked. Not going to lie, I’m not massively impressed - granted I’m only going off 45 minutes of football, but he’s giving off Naby Keita vibes. Don’t think he’s better than what we have.

16 Jun 2026 21:34:19
Olise is fantastic.

Agree3

16 Jun 2026 21:35:05
Don't really know what's worse, the game itself or the sh**e commentary by Shearer et al.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 21:43:56
Maybe buy Sunderland's Diarra, who's replaced Camara, looks better after a few minutes than Camara did in first 70 mins.

Agree0

16 Jun 2026 21:47:51
Barcola just came on and scored a great goal! Blistering pace and a confident finish.

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 22:19:17
McG, playing as a #10, was amazing.

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 20:46:22
Krepin Diatta looks good for Senegal.

16 Jun 2026 21:44:58
80 mins, and think Mendy is playing very well, better second keeper than Marma?

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - you spoke too son Mcgoveb.. :)

16 Jun 2026 20:28:15
Spurs agree €60m deal for Van Hecke. Getting Schlotterbeck in for €50-€55m will go down as great business. Really hope we get it done.

16 Jun 2026 20:21:39
What’s everyone’s thoughts on the transfer window? Looks like we have money to spend, but after last summer the funds aren’t endless. In terms of potentials:

Palestra/Kayode
Diomande/Rayan
Barcola or someone like Bowen/Summerville

Is it better to go for Premier League experience?

16 Jun 2026 21:44:59
We've got plenty of money, we've been very frugal under FSG. Prior to last season, our average net spend per year was £30m over 15 years.

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 21:46:27
Iraola coming in, and the World Cup logistics look like they'll slow things up a bit, so we may have to be patient. There's money there to replace Salah with a big buy and a right back, but after that it's looking like it'll depend to some extent on who leaves and fees raised.

Agree0

17 Jun 2026 04:04:16
You sound like you've just made that up @Overkill.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 19:48:42
Anyone else surprised that we haven’t been linked at all with Tonali? Always rated him at Newcastle, is his gambling history a red line issue or would people rate him highly enough to risk it?

16 Jun 2026 20:15:44
Personally I think he's exactly what we need. 🤞 We enter the race for him.

Agree4

16 Jun 2026 20:31:10
Odds on he doesn't join us.

Agree6

16 Jun 2026 20:40:45
I wouldn't bet on it.

Agree6

16 Jun 2026 21:15:39
Doesn't pass the dickhead test, maybe? Does he have a question mark over him after the ban?

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 21:46:34
He's top class. Controls games very well. I'd love him instead of Mac.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 21:47:03
I like him, would be a big improvement on MacAllister, expensive though, I imagine Newcastle would want something in the region of 100m. Personally wouldn't want to do business with them again after the Isak mess.

Agree2

16 Jun 2026 21:51:37
He's a class player, great energy in midfield! I would be very surprised if Spurs had a free shot at him when Liverpool, Utd and Arsenal
are all looking to strengthen in that position. Tonali, Grav and Szob in midfield would be a great combination.

Agree1

16 Jun 2026 22:27:41
Silly money, although he's a good player when fit. Looks like Spurs are spending big.
