Ed001 Robbo Carra fields anyone got any updates on Sobs contract talks.
If he does not sign this summer do you think we should sell because I don't think we want him on his last year because we don't want another season of the Trent and Konate crap because if he does not sign soon he obviously been tapped up by Madrid.

Was wondering if RM's £150m bid was for him, but not Premiership they said.

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:37:41
I'm sceptical about that rumour, as it was reported "not Premiership", and then the article included Declan Rice in their list of potential targets!

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:46:49
Michael Edwards is reportedly on ~£10M/year with FSG (per recent claims). That's huge for an exec - roughly £192k/week, solid top-tier PL money but not quite top 5 level (Haaland ~£525k/wk, Salah ~£400k).

Let's see what the boys are made of now, we have all these contracts coming to an end.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 11:35:01
I think Perez was talking about Olise.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 14:04:24
Yeah, Olise would make sense, Racey.

I did get excited that they may value Macca at £150m, but sadly not to be!

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 08:21:54
Ed1, do you know if we had interest in either Kayode or Palestra and whether RB would be a priority position once we sort out the Wingers?

Also, now that we moving on from Slot does that mean a Defensive Midfielder is back on agenda? I've only seen Wharton name being mentioned multiple times, but he isn't really a proper DM. Do Bournemouth even play with proper DM?

Agree3 Disagree27

{Ed001's Note - I believe Palestra is the right-back we are targeting. I expect an all-action type midfielder, who mostly concentrates on winning the ball back, rather than a Wharton type. But Iraola might see McConnell as the answer to that.}

05 Jun 2026 08:56:54
Wouldn't it be brilliant if McConnell got a chance, lads.

Agree35 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:07:45
I wonder if he can stay fit, would Stefan Bajcetic also be an option? It's clear we need a ball winning midfielder or 2, so can see Mac or Jones being sold if not both.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 08:58:05
I like the sound of this Ed .any intell on how Iraola plans on using Grav?

Agree0 Disagree10

{Ed001's Note - I would assume he will want him to play one of the two deep midfield roles. Though he values flexibility, so you never know.}

05 Jun 2026 09:21:34
Bournemouth have Tyler Adams as their '6'. He's maybe not a very conventional defensive midfielder, but he does all the nasty physical grunt work well, while being able to pass the ball as well (though, obviously, he isn't tasked with doing any really ambitious progressive passing, that's left to Senesi and Scott mostly).

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:40:19
Stephenson could get a go maybe as well in the early friendlies.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:45:56
Stephenson is on his way to Bolton. 🙏

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:55:01
Stephenson and McConnell won't be involved. If they are, we are setting up Iraola to fail.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:56:41
Stephenson is going to smash it at Bolton. I think he's way too good for the Championship. I honestly thought he'd be playing in Europe next season for Hearts, Celtic or Rangers.

All the best to the lad for the future. Hopefully, he'll help Bolton get promoted again straight away and we can welcome him at Anfield in 2028.

Agree7 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:01:57
McConnell was part of a team that beat Chelsea in the cup final. Chelsea, with their £280m midfield trio as well, by the way. Let's not pretend he's a total bum. He'll get his chance in pre-season and he'll sink or float.

It's hardly setting Iraola up to fail, letting him assess the academy and squad players. It actually makes a nice bloody change to have a manager who sounded genuinely excited and positive about getting to see the younger players!

Agree13 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:22:07
I think you might be overestimating the quality of SPL a bit, MKS. Leighton Clarkson absolutely ripped the SPL during his loan at Aberdeen, but unfortunately he is now struggling to shine in League One. At one point, I thought he would become a good squad player for us. I really hope Stephenson does well, but SPL is not really a high quality league.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:26:45
Thekoparmy, I never mentioned the SPL quality, mate. I'm talking about Stephenson's quality. He's a very good player and I'm confident he'll show it for Bolton in the Championship. Last year in pre-season, he was one of our best players.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:27:12
Narrr, no chance I could ever want Bolton to be promoted. Had a few run-ins with their fans as they're plazzy Mancs.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:28:43
Kayode's recovery pace and dual ability give him the edge imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 11:30:12
We bash Slot for not giving chances to the youth players and now we have a manager who is clearly excited to be working with the youths, and we're bashing it and saying "he's being set up to fail". Can't make this stuff up.

Personally, I am excited at who could be the next talent to come out from our academy and be part of the first team squad. I have high hopes for McConnell, Beck, Chambers and Koumas.

I would have added Stephenson in that list too, but just saw he is most likely moving to Bolton. Unfortunately I can't see Danns and Baj making it with us due to injuries and attitude respectively. They did show a lot of promise initially, but they have not been playing football regularly enough the past season.

Agree6 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:29:07
Do u think ed1 wirtz play as the 10 centrally with 2 midfielders behind and 2 wingers either side? Seen a previous thread on here where they say wirtz plays from left for Germany and also did that previously for leverkusan, don't think that will get the best out of him imo

Agree0 Disagree6

{Ed001's Note - I expect Iraola to play him in a number of different roles. He likes to mix things up and play to attack the opponent's weaknesses.}

05 Jun 2026 12:13:19
Dacred,
I guarantee none of the 4 you mentioned will make it at Liverpool. If they do, you will be supporting a team scrambling for a Conference League position. I am not knocking these lads, they will have good careers, but not at Liverpool.

To make it from the Academy at Liverpool, you need to be at the level of Gerrard, Owen, Fowler, McManaman and Carragher.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 12:17:03
Good post, Dracred. Personally, I think Beck and Chambers might move on or need another loan. However, I fully share your excitement for McConnell and Koumas. I also think Bajcetic, Abe, Morrison, Ndiaye, Ndukwe and Wright will be fun to watch during pre-season. As well as the obvious ones like Nyoni and Rio!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 12:46:16
@Kemlyn, Well, considering that Carragher is one of the most limited defenders I've ever seen play for us, I think they'd have a good chance then ;)

And, I'm not saying that they'd turn out to be world beaters or starters. If they can be part of the squad, then that's good enough for me. Players like Jones, Bradley, or Kelleher before he moved to Brentford, were willing to step in when needed and do a job but aren't necessarily starters.

@MK, I think LB would be one of the easiest places for our youth to get in now that Robbo has left. Granted, there's still Tsimikas who'd be coming back from a loan, but if I were Beck or Chambers, I'd be thinking that I'd have a chance to make the squad.

Both very different players too, since Beck is more in the mould of Robbo and Kerkez, who prefers to go on the outside and whip a cross in, while Chambers is more comfortable inverting to be part of a back three.

I didn't include Abe, Morriston, Ndiaye, Ndukwe, or Wright because I think they'd need more time either on loan or playing in the U21s for a season more. Especially Abe since he's only 15. But I agree that it'd be very exciting to see them play in pre-season, and I'm hoping they get the chance! And I left Rio and Nyonyi out too because I already see them as part of the first team squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 16:08:47
Agree with Barry, McConnell should be given a chance and I think he will.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 18:02:10
Dacred,
Considering you think Carragher was so limited, he's done well to have only Ian Callaghan ahead of him in Liverpool's all time appearance list. Obviously, 4 or 5 Liverpool managers didn't agree with you.
Chambers and Beck will not get one Premier League minute between them.

I'm still trying to square the circle of how some Liverpool supporters think we can give games to half the Academy, some who have been out on loan and flopped, but still expect the team to win the big trophies. I suppose you want Chiesa to be given a chance too.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:28:34
Wonder if we still have any interest in Anis Hadj Moussa?

RW at Feyenoord, we were linked with him last summer I think. Left footed right winger, only 24 still and has come on a lot the past couple seasons. Quick, good shot, good technique.

14 goals 7 assists for Feyenoord last season. 11 goals 5 assists the one before. Scored a great goal for Algeria the other day, good injury record, probably only cost about 30m and he would be a great depth option on the right for us with potential to get better still.

Don't suppose you know if we or anyone else is interested atm Ed?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

05 Jun 2026 09:48:26
Not close to being good enough imo, there is reason they start 35 year old Mahrez over him!

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:15:44
Evening Gents

PSG have distanced themselves from Diomande

I'm told it's all down to what Liverpool offer for him and the structure of payment.

Diomande has agreed to the move.

Cheers.

Agree67 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:58:21
Same as what I heard about a deal being agreed and that Liverpool were looking to get it tied up ASAP. I can see this being done quickly.

04 Jun 2026 21:03:23
Sounds like one of his Dads is going to be over the moon.

Agree71 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:04:31
Hi Robbo,

Any idea who we are targeting in CM and are the links to Kayode genuine?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:06:47
What is the price? Because I don't see LFC paying 100M+ again?

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:10:24
Excellent if we can get over the line. Do you know if Elliot will be included in the deal? RB had interest in him previously.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:12:21
Lamine Camara + Wharton for MF.

Kayode to fulfil what Ibou did on a good day, CB and Frimpong as more attacking options.

CB is less clear - there are 4/5 strong possibilities.

Agree8 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:15:53
Funky great. 🤣
Kaiser, don't worry, it's not our money. FSG won't spend what they can't.

Agree7 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:16:26
Kaiser_Chief_Deux expects a cheaper fee. Hughes should come out of this one looking good. Elliott's price will be under 20m if he's included + a potential loan from YT.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 22:28:03
How much money will Leipzig Diomande? 👀

Agree26 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 22:49:08
Thanks, FSW. Appreciate it.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 23:10:14
Does anyone have any idea who Madrid are planning on spending 150 million on?

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 00:19:28
It's not one of ours, I don't think, Liverpool.

Not sure who is 150 million.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 02:06:06
Big fee = Chelski level, lifelong contract, no?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 04:21:26
I hope he hits the ground running. We'll have around a $400mil attack, including Wirtz.

Hard to see how they can deliver a ROI to the value of what we've paid for them, but hopefully it falls into place.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 06:39:39
The club makes a lot of money these days. We can afford it. It's what a top player is gonna cost these days.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 06:51:20
Be thankful all we're in the conversations for any of the big transfers, shows we've moved up as a club, regardless of the absurd amounts being paid.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 08:24:47
Did anyone watch Diomande against France last night? How did he play against that level of opposition?
He looks great in highlight reels, but I'm wary because
1) highlight reels make most players look good by showing 10 secs of the best things and 0 secs of all the bad things
2) defending in Germany is shocking, so it's hard to judge how good any attacking player is.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 06:37:50
Hi Eds, Robbo, VG, Carra,

Do you think Diomonde would be a good buy?

Cheers!

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - should be.}

05 Jun 2026 08:43:18
Real are talkin about a PSG player, Vitinha or Kk.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 08:45:41
Looks a good player, very young still, but I give him a year or two and he'll be Semenyo Mk2.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 08:57:32
£100m is a heavy burden (for the player). Let's hope he fares better than Wirtz and Isak in his first season.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 09:52:30
The president of Real wants to break the piggy bank for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 10:10:17
Real also interested in Enzo Fernandez.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Jun 2026 20:59:22
I really hope this goes through. Diomande looks miles better than the likes of barcola and seems like an excellent replacement over the next few years. The front four of him, isak, ngumoha, and wirtz seems crazy.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:29:13
Hi all,

Hearing this evening that Diomande has agreed personal terms with the club. We are looking to finalise a fee with RB. Could see quick movement on this in the next 72 hours, once Iraola is formally announced.

Cheers VG, let's hope we can get things sorted asap. 🤞🏻

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:53:10
Iraola confirmed, with a smart intro video about how he wants to connect and be part of something special. Perhaps the club are more tuned in than they're given credit for.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:56:03
I think we should get Messi for 12 months until Olise becomes available. He would be a good short term signing as we wait for Olise to come in next summer and do the business for the next 10 years like Salah.

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:06:46
The "Welsh Xavi", I see you don't even talk a good game.

Agree14 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:19:33
He's just absolutely skinned Konate, but couldn't find a final pass (France/Ivory Coast as we speak, if anyone's interested).

He's playing on the left tonight....
We've got ourselves a potential superstar, if he works as hard as Mane/Salah did.

Agree10 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:35:30
Slight scare there when he went down holding his shoulder, but he seems ok now.
He looks very strong for his age.

I think this lad's on a Sadio level. He will seem cheap in a year.

Another one for the youth team.

Former Liverpool academy talent Patrick Farkas is reportedly close to returning to Liverpool this summer after leaving four years ago.

Agree12 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:57:12
Is mother Farkas his manager?

Agree18 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:14:53
Bulking up the u21 squad, and has a highly rated brother also in the academy.

04 Jun 2026 19:40:38
I'm F****** made up with that news.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:52:31
...And in this week's news...

Arne Slot finally Farkas off.

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:55:36
Meet the Farkas.

Agree13 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:19:58
Big or little Farkas. 🤔

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:30:40
Big Farkas.

His younger brother is still in our academy.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:50:20
They're not Farkas, they're Messerschmitts.

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:51:00
And to think, this time last week our head coach was Arne and we were getting desperate. 🙂

04 Jun 2026 18:06:34
Hi eds, is there any truth in the rumour that we have spoken to West Ham in regards to Mateus Fernandes?
Quality player and I believe he is the type of player that could thrive in our midfield.
Thanks

Agree2 Disagree9

{Ed001's Note - only ones I know of talking to them were Man Utd.}

04 Jun 2026 17:34:17.
Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Yan Diomande. A deal for the player will be completed within 48 hours.

Up the reds.

Agree35 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:11:03
Leipzig aren't getting £112 for 🇨🇮 Diomande

More realistically, £70m/£75m + Elliott (£20m/£25m) + Eichhorn ⌛️/ Nyoni loan.

Agree9 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:11:26
Didn't you also say Slot will be staying?

Agree20 Disagree1

04 Jun 2026 18:15:35
We need to get Greek Scouser back.
He's just scored a great goal for Greece against Sweden. 😀

Agree7 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:17:58
He was until he wasn't.

Agree11 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:30:31
@Liver_La, I'm pretty sure that is the plan. He'll come back to replace Robbo.

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:41:53
It seems unlikely that we'll complete a £100 million transfer in 48 hours.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:48:53
It's been ongoing for a while, Cookie, it sounds like, pal, so could just be the final parts.

I personally have no idea, but hope he does arrive.

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:53:03
Maybe Diomande is signing until he isn't as well.

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 18:56:51
There's absolutely zero chance a £100m transfer will be done in 48 hours, even if terms have been agreed.

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:17:38
£100m for a player that's only played 43 top flight games in his career. Madness

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 19:31:53
Diomande shows up as the best first season performer in the Bundi Ever.
He has the potential to be Mane +, and we will not pay the quoted fee.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:05:53
He does have flashes of Mane, pretty powerful, very quick, and a strong finisher. Not sure whether he's best off the left or right, but looks like an exciting player.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 20:53:04
@Adam, Anything can happen in football, especially with transfers.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Jun 2026 21:54:34
